Pickled Damsons

Fresh damsons
Enough spiced vinegar to cover them...
Screw top or kilner jars


Wash the damsons and leave to dry on paper towels
Thoroughly prick each fruit all over and pack into jars
Cover with spiced vinegar and seal jars

You would make these in the summertime and keep till Christmas to eat with cold meats...

Dont throw away the damson vinegar when you have eaten the fruit !!! Keep it and take a large tablespoon at the first sign of a cold or sore throat !!!
