How does about 9 pm sound ??? If thats not convenient , suggest something that is.....I am here most of the time Very Happy

I manage to get Rons painkillers yesterday....that has taken me about a week of nonsense !!! If someone else had told me about all the mismanagement and incompetence surrounding Ron's illness I would have found it very hard to believe them....It just seems never ending !!!

Sorry l have neglected the site but l have been really busy.

Checked you know where to see news on Ron and quickly shot off again. Sorry to read about your eye operation, what was the matter? hopefully it is now feeling better.

The garden has taken alot of my time up, hopefully, it will all slow down till next year now, l did get rid of the flower beds round the fruit trees which took alot of time but now l can see all that work paying off as the grass has already come through. I have also been building a web site with the help of Jandam, she has been brilliant, going to let my room upstairs out for a B&B, so am very excited at that. Its almost ready to go so when its up and running will send to you the link to look at, of course l had to inform the Marie and also the tourist office which is all finished with now just have to get some kind of licence to serve drink (even a glass of orange juice) and then when l am about to open will have to up the insurance Very Happy Very Happy .

Today is the first time in a couple of weeks that l have had a day without having to do something or go somewhere, its wonderful Smile

How is Ron doing, is he still feeling un-well? l do hope he feels better soon and you of course, love to you both X.

Your avatar is lovely CP.....

Our snow is all melted too....but there is a lot more in store for us I fear.....

This morning two deer came across from Perwinnes Moss and ran across the grassy bank facing my house....I reached for my camera but I wasnt quick enough....someone had their dog off the lead and it scared them away before I could take a photo....I shall have to find out what they eat so I can supplement them if we have a hard winter as seems likely.... I have actually had them in my front garden drinking out of the water bowl I put out for the birds.....but I have yet to get a decent picture as they are so nervous and move off so quickly....

I thought it looked very tasty.....I'll put it in the recipes so we dont lose track of it Very Happy

The garden is looking very sorry for itself just now....Trees all losing their leaves....what a mess !!! But neither of us fit enough to rake them up right now..

Ron seems to be doing well but I cant seem to clear up this cough and the fluid on my lungs.... Bummer !!!

Hehehe ....Dont boil your brain honey !!! Take it easy !!! I was just thinking - maybe I should start learning Spanish seeing that my son has just bought a hacienda and olive grove....

They dont take possession till the new year, but it looks a lovely place.....I dont think they intend taking paying guests , but like everything else it's all open to change....they might find they are bored to tears sitting around all day !!! Very Happy

What a beautiful place your son has bought, you wil enjoy holidaying there in the sunshine, relaxing round that beautiful pool, its just gorgeous.

Hope you cough is easing up, pleased to read Ron is doing better, take care especially with this awful weather.

I am itching to be doing stuff in the garden, just cutting grass and raking leaves up but its just too wet, so frustrating.

I had intended to make the Meenal curry you put in the recipe section, have just realised l forgot the ginger Rolling Eyes can't nip out to get any as its a bank holiday here so it will have to wait till after the weekend as l am off out to friends tomorrow and Sunday so no cooking for me Smile

Meenal's curry is delicious !!! My advice is to measure out ALL ingredients before starting and lay them out in the order they will be used.....It makes life a lot easier....You can lay them out round the edge of a plate...but I found some tea light candles in glass dishes instead of the usual soft metal ones....I washed them in hot soapy water and then put them through the dishwasher.....They are absolutely ideal for laying out spices for a recipe.....
Have you ever tried growing ginger ? I often find that root ginger starts sprouting before you use the last of it.....try planting it ? I havent had any luck because it ha been so very wet here.....but it has a really unusual and beautiful red flower and you can still harvest the roots....
Its not a Bank Holiday here, but the International Market is in town.... we usually go to it but I dont think Ron can cope this time.... Pity....I usually find some Christmas presents there Very Happy

Morning

Thanks for the advise, will do once l get the ginger.

This morning l am making another batch of pasties to put in the freezer, always handy if l get any surprise visitors or for when Neil fancies one.

Its another wet morning here, although its not feeling as chilly as yesterday.

How are you and Ron today?

Pity about not feeling up to visiting the market, never mind there will be others.

No, l haven't ever tried growing ginger, will have to give it a go, it is so expensive here, when l used to buy it in Saudi the chap at the veg counter always used to just pop it into a bag of whatever l had purchased after weighing it, so l always got it for free, as l only used to pick up enough for whatever l was cooking at the time, same with garlic, never paid for it.

Hope all is OK with everybody.

This morning l have made the curry, really lovely flavour although a bit too hot for my taste buds so will buy some natural yoghurt tomorrow after l have been to the hairdresser.

Now back to ironing.

Ron got on well at the hospital.....surgeon was very pleased with the surgery....had an ECG done while there.... depending on results they may reduce some of his meds....He will still have chest pains for about another 3 months because thats how long it will take his ribs to heal.... but he is officially fit to drive / fly etc.....
Im hoping that I'll feel better after these antibotics......just taking it easy and resting xxx

Still havent been able to do anything about the grass....far too wet for strimmer or mower.....Bummer !!!

Still...what can you do about it ? Very Happy

Happy to hear the surgeon was pleased with Ron, hopefully he will soon feel much better pretty soon.

Hope the antibiotics are working for you and you are starting to feel better.

I have been watching the Remembrance service on telly, shed a tear or two for all those brave men and women.

Neil has gone to the dentist after work to have an extraction, poor love.

I am sitting and having a lazy day stitching in front of a nice log fire.

Silly time to start l know Rolling Eyes , but am on a diet as from today, its a 3 day very strict diet and then you eat normally within reason of course for 4 days and start on the 3 day diet again supposed to be good for those who have a lot to lose, and l do Shocked can't believe how much weight l've gained since retiring affraid
